PLANS FOR A WEEK: RELAXATION AND CHARMING CITIES IN ANDALUSIA
Andalusia is full of culture, history, tradition, flavour and much more. Much of this can be found in some of the main cities of the region. We are in a perfect strategic point to visit several of them, even to do it in just one day. Here is a suggestion of how you could organise it to make the most of your stay in a boutique hotel in Marbella like Casa La Concha as a starting point to discover the “magic” of Andalusia.
These plans are perfect for one-week stays because you will be able to combine the best services in the hotel for a few days, with excursions to these cities during the other days you stay here.
“Tradition, culture, gastronomy and beauty in every corner of the visits we propose”.
We start the week’s plan with a visit to Seville
The Andalusian capital is a vibrant city, both for its monuments and its streets, its festivities and its people. A charming visit that you can do by car or by train, the most recommended option because you can go and come back in the same day as it is only two hours away from Marbella.
The Giralda, the Plaza de España, the Real Alcázar or a walk along the river bank to see such special places as the Torre del Oro, the Maestranza Bullring or the mythical Triana Bridge, are the main attractions you can visit in Seville.
A relaxing day at the hotel with massages and relaxation services
After an intense day of sightseeing, it is always a good idea to have a relaxing day to recover your energy.
So, we suggest you stay at the hotel, in your room or bungalow, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings, the swimming pool, read a book in the garden, go for a walk along the beach of Marbella or even book a relaxing massage in your room.
A day discovering the charm of the city of Cordoba
Another of the most charming cities in Andalusia and one that we always recommend to our clients for its charm and proximity (one hour and 15 minutes by train from Marbella) is Cordoba. Its Moorish past is reflected in its streets, its shops, its bridges and, above all, in its monuments, with the Mosque of Cordoba standing out above all.
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this is one of the great marvels of Moorish architecture from the time when the Muslims inhabited these lands.
A day of relaxation discovering the most charming corners of Marbella
We are in the most famous city on the Costa del Sol. In Marbella you can do many activities to enjoy a quiet but complete day. Take a walk or go to the beach, have a drink in one of the many bars and restaurants in the area, go shopping in its famous boutiques or even take the car or bus to Puerto Banús.
In our guide to things to do in Marbella for families and children you can see more activities without leaving the city.
Culture and charm in Malaga: A visit not to be missed
For the sixth day of this route and 40 minutes by car from Marbella, we suggest a visit to the capital of the province where we are also another of the hallmarks of Andalusia and of our area.
A cultural city, with museums as interesting as the Picasso Museum, the Thyssen, the Pompidou Centre or the Museum of Contemporary Art. In the historic centre you will find monuments as the Alcazaba and the Cathedral or famous streets as Larios Street. In the beach área you can enjoy a nice walk and taste the typical gastronomy in their beach bars.
Last day: The charm of the surroundings of Marbella
After visiting the exciting city of Malaga, we stayed again in Marbella to continue enjoying its many beaches, its squares and, why not, also its surroundings.
The towns that surround us are well worth a visit to stroll through their marinas or their colorful streets. Some of the closest and most prominent are Estepona, Fuengirola, Benalmádena or Torremolinos.
